Allen Ravsten Cottle

Allen Ravsten Cottle, 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Allen was born on July 14, 1955 in Logan, Utah to Wallace A. And Melva Ravsten Cottle. He graduated from Sky View High School. He enjoyed hunting, hiking and camping with his family.
He married Autumn Saxton and they were the parents of four children, Chris, Georgia, Noell and Nick. They were later divorced. He was a retired member of the Clarkston Fire Department.
Allen was the most warm-hearted tough guy you ever met, a man of his word, who felt late if he wasn’t at least 10 minutes early. A person who always left an impression on you with something he did to make you smile, laugh or cringe.
His priorities were God, family, country and to him, friends were family. He always told it like it was, whether you liked it or not. But if you were around him long enough, you eventually learned to like it.
He will be remembered most of all as a son, dad, grandpa, friend, and brother who would do anything for the people he loved.
He is survived by his mother, Melva Ravsten Cottle; his four children, Chris (Bonnie) Cottle of Logan, Utah; Georgia (Jason) Powasnik of San Antonio, Texas; Noell (Gus) Allen of Richmond, Utah and Nick (April) Cottle of Eugene, Oregon and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister: Mike Cottle of Salt Lake City, Utah; Eugene (Yumi) Cottle of Largo, Florida; Duane (Dena) Cottle of West Jordan, Utah; Annette (Don) Rindlisbacher of Clarkston, Utah; and Jay (Rhonda) of Garland, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace A. Cottle and his brother, Stanley W. Cottle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Clarkston Ward Chapel, 25 East 100 South in Clarkston. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Clarkston church and prior to the services on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net .
