Ann Watts

Dearest wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Anna Mae (Ann) Adams Watts crossed over in the early morning hours of June 21, 2016. She was born in Logan, Utah, on June 19, 1925, to Robert Leo Adams and Florence Munro Adams. Her birth in the Logan Hospital was witnessed by her beloved father. Ann first met her true love in junior high, a boy named Cal Watts. They were married on July 22, 1945, at Davis –Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, as WWII was winding down. Ann and Cal were sealed in marriage many years later in the Logan Temple on December 14, 2002, with all their children present. They were happily married for nearly 71 years.
Ann had an innate appreciation for beauty and quality, living an exemplary life and embodying those same traits. As a beautiful, black-haired girl, she grew up on the corner of Crockett Avenue and Canyon Road. She had one brother, R.L. Adams, who was eight years her senior. Intelligent in numerous ways, she was a voracious reader, a gifted pianist and organist, and a life-long student of the Spanish language. She affiliated with Chi Omega Sorority at USU, where she met and made dear friends.
She was the mother of five children: Craig (Dorothy) Watts; Randy (Kathie) Watts; Kim (Anita) Watts; Judy Watts Johnson; and Lisa (Rob) Baskin. Together, Ann and Cal cherished 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother R.L. and his wife Lillias, and her daughter Judy Ann. She is survived by her devoted husband, Calvin R. Watts, their offspring, and other extended family.
At her request, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Noon in the Logan Cemetery.
A quiet soul, she was always kind and gentle. She remained a grand lady to the end.
In the days preceding her death, and especially on her 91st birthday, she was able to say farewell to many loved ones. Sincere gratitude to Terrace Grove Assisted Living, Karmon, her excellent staff, and Sunshine Terrace Hospice.
