Betty Louise Anderson Burr

Betty Anderson Burr, 91, passed away at the Legacy House on July 5,2017.

Betty was born October 19, 1925, in Nibley, Utah, to George and Relia Anderson. She was the first of six children, Harold Anderson (deceased), Patrica Purser (Hyde Park), Paul Anderson (Nibley), Myrna Knowles (Avon), and Craig Anderson (Perry).

Betty attended Cache County schools.

On June 26, 1946, Betty married the love of her life, Max William Burr. They were married in Nibley and later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. In June of 2010, they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They resided in the home they built in Nibley for 55 years.

Bill and Betty have four sons, Bruce (deceased) (Lana Burr), Nibley, Brad (LaNette), Providence, Brent (Lorrie), Nibley, and Bart (Tammie), Smithfield. Bill and Betty also have 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Betty was an active member of the LDS Church and has served her religion in many capacities. She proudly worked at Utah Mortgage for over 30 years. Bill and Betty also delivered "Meals On Wheels" to the elderly for 10 years.

Betty took great pride in her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even the smallest among them knew that Grandma was a jokester with a ready smile, loads of patience, and a helping hand.

Besides spending time with her family, Betty enjoyed joking around, camping, her pinochle club, and being an avid Utah Jazz fan.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Max, and son, Bruce.

There will be a funeral service for Betty on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. Logan, and interment will take place at Millville-Nibley City Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, with another viewing one hour prior to funeral services Saturday morning.
