Chris passed away after a short battle with cancer on February 5, 2017
Chris was born December 26, 1975, to Brenda Barnett and Marion Petersen in Brigham City, UT.
He resided in Logan, UT, until Aug of 1979 at the age of 3, Chris, along with his siblings Virginia and Gary Petersen went to live with the Casselman Family in Wellsville, UT. Chris attended Millville Elementary, Spring Creek Middle School, and received a Certificate of Completion from Mt. Crest High School in 1994. He then went to the Post-High Program at Logan High where he completed his education in 1997. Chris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was active in scouts, young mens, and seminary. After Chris moved out of the family home, he was a client of North Eastern Services (NES) where he met many life-long friends. Chris loved everyone, he was always kind and happy and had a contagious laugh. Chris loved people and he always gave nicknames out to his friends and family. Chris loved all animals, especially cats.
Chris spend a lot of time at local businesses in the community where he would make friends and in turn they would give him odd jobs to do around their businesses. (Chris had more jobs than anyone I ever knew.)
Chris is survived by his mother, Brenda Barnett, his father, Marion Petersen, his siblings, Gary Petersen (Orem), and Virginia Petersen (Logan). Many, many foster brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends, and those that loved and took Chris not only into their lives but into their hearts.
Chris’ family would like to publicly thank those who have loved and cared for Chris over the years and all the generous donations given through Chris’ gofundme account. We will miss you Chris!!!
Funeral services for Chris will be held on Thursday at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:30. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery.
