Cora Jean Allen Bingham
HYRUM - Cora Jean Allen Bingham, 85, passed away at home on July 26, 2014. She was born July 6, 1929, in Hyrum, Utah, a daughter of Milton A. and Loraine Rose Allen.
Cora Jean graduated from South Cache High School in 1947 and went on to attend Utah State Agricultural College. She worked as the Hyrum City Recorder for nine years and retired from First Security Bank of Utah after 18 years of service. She loved spending time with her family. Over the years she enjoyed many hobbies including horseback riding, scrapbooking, crocheting, watching the Jazz, attending “club,” and playing cards with her dear friends.
She is survived by children Randal Scott Bingham, Beverly Bingham Wilkinson (Scott), Rodger Alan Bingham, and Rebecca Bingham; six grandchildren Wendy Gunnell, Rosalie Bair, Andrea Baird, Shaun Wilkinson, Angie Porter, Cassie J. Wilson and fifteen great-grandchildren; three sisters Ione Allen Petersen (Salt Lake City), LuDean Allen Andersen (Othello, Washington) and Barbara Allen Sanders (Sunset). She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Milton J. Allen and sister Lovisa Kaye Andersen.
Friends and family may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street, Logan, Utah on Wednesday, July 30,2014 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service at the Hyrum City Cemetery, 600 E. Main Street, Hyrum, Utah on Thursday, July 31, at 11:00 a.m.
