Dallas D. Gardner

Dallas Dewayne Gardner was surrounded by loved ones as he passed through the veil on Friday, July 21, 2017.
Dallas was born September 13, 1935 in Tremonton, Utah to Eldon Franklin Gardner and Anna Adele Anderson. He grew up in Bear River County and graduated from Bear River High School.
He met his loving wife, Dorothy Ann Dickey at a high school dance and they chose to be married March 1, 1954, in the Logan LDS Temple. Not a day has gone by in the last several years since Dorothy passed away that he hasn’t mentioned how very much he misses her and wants to be with her again.
Dallas loved to keep busy and worked hard all his life at varying jobs, but spent most of his working career at Pepperidge Farm and working his business with his boys doing Heating and Air Conditioning work. He delighted in teaching and working alongside his sons, grandson’s and others his work ethics and skills.
He loved spending time outdoors, on his boat and in the mountains with his family. He loved spending time with his children and family, watching the Jazz games with a big bowl of ice cream, popcorn and Coke. He was a very friendly guy, always had time for good conversation and laughs. He was always interested in what one had to say and was open to others thoughts. His smile was contagious and bright. He was very giving and always helping others.
He is survived by his children: Randy (Sandy), Smithfield, Dennis (Kim), Hyde Park, Greg (Joy), Oregon, Julie, Smithfield, Kathy King, Logan, Sheri (Alfred) Iodice, Smithfield; 23 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, his sisters: Joann Gordon, Karla Pella, and a brother Terry Gardner. He was was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his parents, a son, John, a brother, Frank, and a great-grandchild, Mason Moore.
His family would like to thank Logan Regional Hospital Emergency Department, Cache County EMT’s and Lifeflight, and all those who cared for him and our family at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. Thanks to our extended family members and good friends, neighbors and ward members for their endless support.

There are things that I´ve forgotten, that I loved about the man,
But I´ll always remember the love in Daddy´s hands.”
There was always hard work, love (and a Coke) in Dallas’ hands.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 26 , at 11 a.m. at the Honeyville City Cemetery 2600 W. 6900 N. in Honeyville, UT. A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 25 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center St. in Logan, Utah from 6-8 p.m. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
