Isabelle Petersen

Isabelle Boyle Petersen passed away May 6, 2015 at the Logan Regional Hospital.

Isabelle was born October 8, 1917 in Logan, Utah to Oliver Duncan and Rose Boyle. She spent her childhood and young adult life in Logan. She was educated in the Logan City Schools.

She married Homer J. Petersen on Sept. 20, 1936 and resided all of her married life in Hyrum. Isabelle was preceded in death by a grandson, and her husband, Homer, on July 2, 1977.

They are the parents of three children: John A. (Sherma) Petersen, Hyrum; Roselyn (Burke) Larsen, Syracuse; and Patricia (Donald) Henderson, Nibley. She enjoyed her nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed teaching in the mutual organization.

Isabelle was very active in both Logan and Hyrum Senior Citizens Centers where she was involved in leadership positions and participated in the many activities that they had planned.

She was also a member of the Hyrum City Ladies Literary Club for many years. Isabelle took pride in her home and loved to work in her yard. She was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting with her many friends.

The family wishes to express great appreciation to Legacy House staff and IHC Hospice for their compassionate and dedicated care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Internment will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
