Jeffery McFarland passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Ogden Regional Hospital, Ogden, UT.
Jeff was born January 21, 1951 in Preston, Idaho. He was the third son of NaDean and Vern McFarland.
At Logan High School Jeff was active in high school sports where he played football and was on the track team. He graduated from Logan High School in 1969. After high school, Jeff served an LDS mission to Evansville Indiana. After returning from his mission, Jeff attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City Utah where he received a diploma in Machine Shop, Welding, and Drafting. Jeff was an excellent welder and machinist; he always was able to get a job after an employer saw his work. He was employed in Salt Lake City, UT, Price, UT, and the majority of his work years in Pocatello, ID. He also spent several years in the Air Force National Guard and the Air Force receiving an Honorable Discharge when finished. Jeff continued learning more about his profession and was experienced with many types of welding and machine work.
Jeff was married to Clara Clark and later divorced. Jeff is survived by a son Daniel Lance McFarland, and a grandson Alexander McFarland, Idaho Falls, ID. He is also survived by four brothers: Kirt (Julie) McFarland, Mesa, AZ; Wade (Cindy) McFarland, Logan, UT; and Duffy (Connie) McFarland, Rexburg ID; Tom (Chris) McFarland, St George, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Royal McFarland.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20th at the Franklin City Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho. To extend condolences or thoughts to the family go online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
