Jeffrey L. Mayers

May 17, 1963 — April 20, 2016

Jeffrey Lee Mayers age 52 of Logan, Utah passed away suddenly due to a bike accident on April 20th. He was born to Jim and Linda (Siegfried) Mayers on May 17, 1963 in Grants Pass, Oregon. The Family moved to Wellsville in 1968 where he spent most of his years.

Jeff loved sports and was involved in many of them growing up including basketball and wrestling but his first love was baseball. He participated in many tournaments and also played for the Blue Sox of Smithfield.

Jeff looked tough on the outside, but on the inside he had a very loving and tender heart that many admired. He met and married Casandra Hemming and together they have one son. They were later divorced. Later he married Penelope Ochoa and they were also divorced. In 1986 Jeff survived a very tragic Jeep accident in which he was severely injured, but in turn made him stronger and a more determined person. His passions in life were his dogs, collecting rocks, and ice cream.

He is survived by his son Reggie (Camille) Fisher of Wells, Nevada, his dog Baby, his father Jim (Connie) Mayers of Grants Pass, Oregon, sister Donna (Mike) Larsen of Hyrum, sister Carrie (Robert) Cisneros of Hyrum, sister Jamie (James) Jorgensen of Hyrum, brother Jesse (Kira) Mayers of Logan. He is also survived by 2 grandkids, and many nieces and nephews that he loved playing with, an aunt, an uncle, and tons of cousins. He was reunited with open arms by his mother Linda who passed away in August of 1999.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 25th at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. In Logan from 6-8 p.m. with private services to follow. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
