Jerry Edward Olsen

Jerry Edward Olsen father, grandfather, and all around good guy, passed away on July 25, 2016. Jerry was born on February 5, 1943 to Edward and Isabel Olsen. He was married to Sherrie Kaye Nielsen Olsen for 25 years.
Jerry was a hardworking man that was always ready to learn a new trade. He joined the Navy in 1960 and served as a Flight Engineer. Upon returning to Cache Valley he joined the Logan City Police Department. In 1971 he moved his family to West Valley City, Utah where he made his career as an Automotive Mechanic. He returned to Cache Valley and settled in Millville, where he worked at Miller Brothers Express until his death.
Jerry is survived by his children Leisa Jean Vineyard (Kit), Jeri Ann Olsen, Edward John Olsen (Shelly), Michael Wayne Olsen (Fernanda), Merilee Kaye Hoecherl (Travis), Jeffery Irvin Powell (Beverly), sisters Susan Cooley and Machele Karpowich. And his 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his Father Edward Olsen, Mother Isabel Riggs, and Sisters Marlena Bench and Kriste Ann Pitkin.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday August 1, 2016 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. Logan, Utah. Viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:30 to 11:30am. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
