Kendrick Campbell

January 28, 1934 — September 11, 2017

Our loving father, Kendrick Campbell, 83, passed away on September 11, 2017 following complications from surgery. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Ken was born on January 28, 1934 to Joseph Don and Ruth Pearl Kendrick Campbell in Providence, Utah. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and spending time on the farm with his Grandfather George Kendrick where he learned to work hard. He attended Logan High School where he played on the football team, won the State wrestling title and was in the marching band. A die-hard Aggie fan, he attended Utah State University. Through the years Ken has especially cherished the time he spent with his sister, Shirley, and her family.

Ken married June Montine Peavey on May 14, 1955. Together they have 5 children. Ken loved his family! They enjoyed trips to Yellowstone, picnics at the cabin in Logan Canyon and spending time together. Ken and June later divorced but have remained good friends. He found his greatest joy in being surrounded by his grandchildren. In the last few years Ken has enjoyed the friendship of his dear friend, Linda Christiansen.

Ken was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. He was employed as an accountant at Thiokol until his retirement. In later years he enjoyed serving at the funeral homes in Tremonton and Logan. Ken was an active member of the Tremonton Jaycees and Lions Clubs. He led the Little League Football program for several years and served on the City Council and City Planning Commission. Ken spent many years on the Box Elder County Fair Board and led many community service projects through the years.

He is survived by daughters Julie (Bill) Wilcox, Tami (Floyd) Crookston; sons Kendrick Campbell and David (Shannan) Campbell; and sister Shirley (Henry) Aceto of Williamsburg, Virginia; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents, a son, Steven Don, and grandson, Kendrick Adam.
