Lauralee Mitton

April 17, 1945 — January 25, 2017

Our loving mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend passed away at LDS hospital in Salt Lake on January 25, 2017, due to heart complications.
Mother was born April 17, 1945 to Vernon and Alice Mitton and was the third out of 4 children.
Mother grew up in Wellsville and graduated from South Cache High School. She had very fond memories of growing up with her life-long best friend, Francine and would repeat stories of their adventures often. After high school, mom married Jay Rinderknecht and they had one child, Jalyn. Later the two were divorced and mother moved to Chula Vista, California to live closer to her two sisters. Mom loved California and would have stayed there indefinitely but decided to come back to Wellsville to help take care of her mother after her father’s passing.
Mom loved to travel and lived an adventurous life. She often spoke of her travels, with Kauai being her most favorite place to visit. She also loved to read and her favorite topic was English/Scottish history. She spoke often of her travels to these countries.
Mom loved her grandchildren and was always reminiscing about the memories she had when she lived with them in Alaska and Washington. She also loved and was very dependent upon her bother, Dennis, who was her rock to lean on. Our family will always be grateful to him for his unwavering support of mother.
Mother was a very loving and caring person with a sassy attitude that anyone who met her would comment on. She always stood up for what she believed in. Although she will be missed, we know she is happy now to be reunited with her sisters and parents.
She is survived by her daughter Jalyn (Kasey) Rowser; Brother Dennis (Christine) Mitton; and grandchildren Tasia (Mitch) Hawk, Cole Parkinson and Hayze Rowser. She was proceeded in death by her parents: Vernon & Alice Mitton; sisters: Carol Jean Dunn and Shirlee Ann Mitton.
We would like to express our gratitude to the following for taking such good care of mother during the past few years: Cache Valley Assisted Living, Logan Regional Hospital, Rocky Mountain Nursing, Williamsburg and LDS hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:30 AM -12:00 PM. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.allenmortuaries.net
