Linden David Seamons

January 29, 1923 — March 8, 2017

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great, and great- great grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully March 8, 2017 in Logan, Utah at the age of 94.
Linden was born in Hyde Park, Utah on January 29, 1923 to George D. Seamons and Susan Mette Wardle. He was the fifth of six children. Linden graduated from North Cache High School where he played football. He attended Utah State Agricultural College and was part of the ROTC program. It was from there he was called into active duty in March 1943. Linden served in the 89th Infantry Division of the United States Army and served throughout Europe during World War II.
He married his sweetheart Dorothy Purser when home on a furlough August 9, 1944 in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with four daughters and lived 72 happy years together in Hyde Park.
Linden worked most of his professional career as a purchasing manager at Thiokol Logan Manufacturing. After retirement he enjoyed every minute at home working in their beautiful, manicured yard and vegetable garden. His favorite pastime was rototilling!
He was a member of the LDS church and loved the members of his Hyde Park 2nd Ward. He served in the presidency of the Elders Quorum, Sunday School and MIA. He also was a member of the local Lions Club and also the Hyde Park town board.
Linden is survived by his wife Dorothy, a sister Lujean Nilson and daughters-Karen Gordon, Kris Hill, (Dennie), Kallee Allen, (Kurt), and Konee Johnson, (Glen). Also 15 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the Hyde Park Stake Center, 535 East 200 South Hyde Park, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 am that day at the church. Funeral directors are Allen Mortuary of North Logan. Condolences may be shared online at www.allenmortuaries.com
Burial will be at the Hyde Park Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
