Lois B Haws

Lois B. Haws, beloved mother, and grandmother, age 85, passed away surrounded by family in Ogden, Utah on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018. She was born on May 13th, 1932 in Logan, Utah to Loran and Marjorie Blood as one of four children. Lois grew up in Logan where she attended college and obtained an English Degree from Utah State University.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a great mom that served the best pregame meals to her son’s old Weber High basketball team. She loved having family to her home for dinners, holidays, or any occasion. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she would spoil at any opportunity possible.
Along with her family, Lois moved to North Ogden in 1961 where she served faithfully in many callings in the North Ogden 2nd Ward. Her infectious and happy attitude and optimism will be missed. She was a faithful and dedicated temple worker, and during the last 5 years of her life, she never missed a Wednesday without attending the temple with her sweet temple friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard, her son Randall and her grandson Dustin. She is survived by her brother Wesley Blood and her sister Helen L. Blood; her son, Richard A. Haws (Krista); daughters, Lorrie H. Spruance (Jeffrey) and Lynnette Stringham (Fred); 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren with 5 more on the way. We are grateful for the care Hospice provided to her and our family. “She was a loving mother, adored grandmother and fierce friend.” Private family services, under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, will be held in Logan, Utah.
