Margaret Emma Larsen Jorgensen

October 15, 1919 — July 10, 2016

Margaret Emma Larsen Jorgensen, 97, passed away Sunday morning, July 10, 2016 at Rocky Mountain Care in Logan, Utah.
She was born October 15, 1918 in North Logan, Utah to Oliver Larsen and Lenore Burns Larsen. She had an older brother Ray (deceased) and three sisters, Merle (deceased), Fay and Joan. She graduated from South Cache High School and LDS Seminary in 1937.
Margaret has always been a hard worker as a young girl she would pick strawberries, raspberries, and currents to earn money. In later years she picked beans, and worked in the mink. She was also employed at Mitchell Motel.
She met Cleon Jorgensen at a baseball game between North Logan and Hyde Park. They were married December 22, 1939. They were later divorced, but to this union five children were born, Garry (MaryLynn) Jorgensen, Hyde Park; Keith Jorgensen, Malad; Ray (Irene) Jorgensen, Millville; Joyce Maughn (Richard, deceased), Hyrum; and Maxine Petersen (Albert, deceased), Providence. She is survived by all five of her children, 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way, and her two sisters Fay Larsen, North Logan, and Joan Nielsen, Logan, Utah.
The family went on many hunting and fishing trips together.
Margaret was a devoted daughter, caring for her mother for several years before she passed away and working hard to care and provide for her family. She was a very happy and positive person.
Margaret has been active in the LDS Church teaching Primary and being a Visiting Teacher.
We want to thank all the staff and caregivers at Rocky Mountain Care for all the love, compassion, and service they have shown to Margaret.
Funeral Services will be held at noon, on Thursday July 14, 2016, in the Hyde Park 3rd Ward, 42 West 200 South Hyde Park, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30am prior to the services Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
