Marilyn was a lovely, talented and gracious lady who touched a lot of lives. She lived her life with kindness, generosity, and love. A true giver, she left this world a better place and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was born March 2, 1930 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Harry Gilbert and Ellen Ruth Snider Williams.
Marilyn graduated from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas in 1952 with a BA degree in Music. She was a elementary music and second grade teacher.

In 1953, she was married to Coburn Williams and they moved to Logan in 1956. Marilyn and Coburn enjoyed hiking at Tony Grove Lake and skiing at Beaver Mountain while raising daughters, Sue and Jane. An excellent cook, Marilyn enjoyed entertaining. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, the USU Emeriti, and the PEO sisterhood.

An accomplished musician, Marilyn received a Master of Music degree in Piano from Utah State University in 1969. She taught private piano lessons in Logan for many years.

She travelled with Coburn on his scientific research trips to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. And there were special family trips to Wales, Disney World, Yellowstone, and Alaska.

After an accident at home last year, she worked hard, moved to Terrace Grove and was soon back to her active life. She loved living at Terrace Grove where she participated in all social activities and exercised daily for an hour at AquaWorx fitness center.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Stones for his kindness and exceptional care for many years.
We are also grateful to the nurses & staff at Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation for their compassion in caring for Marilyn. And thank you to all of her friends at Terrace Grove & AquaWorx.
