Orissa C. Mcnaught

Orissa McNaught, 84, joined her beloved husband, William A. McNaught, on Apirl 13, 2014. She died at home with her family around her from cancer. Orissa was born on October 22, 1929 in Huntington Park, California to John Collings and Lillian Orissa Allred. She and Bill were married August 28, 1950 in the Logan Temple. The lived the majority of their lives in Southern California until they retired and moved to Cache Valley.
She graduated from high school and then went on to cosmetology school to become a beautician as a young married woman. They lived in Guam while Bill was in the military in WWII. Orissa was a mother, a temple worker and a friend to many. She served in many different leadership rolls in her ward and stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They served their mission in Washington, D.C. helping the Laotian, Taiwanese and Cambodian refugees.
She is survived by children Kimberly (Mark E.) Johnson and William Baird McNaught (Ellen); Grandchildren Greg Johnson, David (Lara) Johnson, Jennie (Jon) Mehl, Anna (Rett) Longmore, William Brent (Courtney) Mc Naught, Lacey (Jeff) Demcak, Jane (Jacob) Burns, Garrett Andrew McNaught.; 9 Great Grandchildren with one on the way! Siblings – Beth Anderson and John A. (Eugenia) Collings. She made us laugh and smile!
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 19th at the Eastridge LDS Ward Chapel, 1350 Eastridge Circle in Logan. A viewing will be held at 9 AM prior to services.
