Patricia Smith Hugie

Patricia Smith Hugie age 91, passed away in Logan Utah on December 2, 2014. Pat was born October 1, 1923 as the third daughter to Joseph A. Smith and Helen McAllister Smith.
Pat graduated from South Cache High School and Utah State Agricultural College where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She married Ray C. Hugie on December 12, 1945 in Logan, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Pat and Ray lived in Logan all of their married life where they raised their son, Cam.
Pat was a working mother and spent her free time reading, knitting, crocheting and hosting family get togethers. She and Ray learned to ski at Beaver Mountain and they skied together with friends for many years.
Pat was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers as a member of the Elizabeth Matthews Camp. Pat loved her pioneer heritage and her ancestral history. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. Pat never needed an official calling to serve, serving was just in her nature.
Pat is survived by her son Cam Hugie of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, and her sisters, Annabelle Fuhriman, Sunny Larsen and Judy Masters.
Graveside services will take place on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Logan City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary and prior to the graveside on Monday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the mortuary.
