Pauline A. Anderson

February 23, 1925 — February 12, 2017

Our sweet mother, Pauline Anna Ellis Anderson, died peacefully, Sunday evening at the age of 91.
Pauline was born February 23, 1925, in Kemmerer, Wyoming. She was the third of four children born to Alice and Paul Ellis. Kemmerer was home for Pauline until the age of 17 when she moved to Utah and entered the cadet nursing program at The William Budge Memorial Clinic in Logan. It was in Logan where Pauline met Reid Anderson on a blind date. Reid and Pauline married in November 1946 and made Logan their home. Reid passed away in March 2013 after 66 years of marriage.
Pauline worked as Assistant Dietician at the old LOS Hospital and retired in 1975. After retirement she always kept busy in some kind of activity or project. She loved gardening and received many compliments on her beautiful flower beds. Pauline was a great friend who was
happy and positive. She kept a tidy home and was very organized. She was also a talented seamstress, an excellent cook, loved music and playing the piano. Family roots and genealogy were of great importance to Mom. She spent hours of research on her family tree. Pauline was also a Logan Temple worker, Primary President, Relief Society counselor, Primary pianist, Primary Teacher, Ward and Stake Librarian, and faithful Visiting Teacher.
Pauline is survived by her three children, Gary (Maureen) Anderson, Linda (Glenn) Selander, Annette (Kenneth) McDaniel, 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Jackman, and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis
Anderson and Bonnie Anderson.
The family would like to extend many thanks and gratitude to the staff at The Sunshine Terrace, especially those in Wing 1 for their loving care for our mother for the past six years.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St in Logan. A viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11 :30 prior to services. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
