Robert Ted Woolf

July 10, 1942 — December 18, 2017

With much love and sadness we announce the passing of our husband, dad, and gramps.
Ted passed away in the comfort of his home after many years of health struggles, surrounded by his family. His illness took his strength, but not his spirit. Through it all he was always cheerful and never complained. When asked how he was feeling, he always replied “oh pretty good.”
Ted was born on July 10, 1942 in Logan Utah to Robert H. and Bonnie Munk Woolf. The family settled in Paradise Utah where they bought a farm. Ted worked hard on the farm along side his dad until he learned the trade of drywall, where he was know as one of the best. Ted returned to his love of hauling hay for his retirement and loved every minute of it. He was truly his happiest when on a bale wagon and farming.
Ted married Judie Leonhardt and together they had three children. They were blessed with five grandchildren who all thought they were gramps favorite, because thats how he made them feel. His granddaughter once said “Have you ever loved someone so much that you just want to cry?” “Thats how much I love gram and gramps.” He truly was the happiest when they all showed up at his house for sleepovers, fun and who knows what else.
In 1984 Ted’s life took and unexpected turn when his oldest son, Richy passed away at the age of 17. You can never get over something like that, but with the help of his other children Randy and Amy, we learned that life does go on.
Over the years Ted cultivated many friendships that have lasted his entire life and spanned over multiple generations. Age made no difference to who Ted made friends with. He could talk to a stranger for over an hour. He loved everyone.
Ted is survived by his wife Judie, son Randy and Jennifer Woolf, daughter Amy and Darren McMichael. Grandchildren Eliza(Jake Schofield) Kelby Woolf. Meg, Ryan and Kate McMichael and his faithful little buddy Sunny.
He is also survived by his sister Sheila(Kenny Olsen), brothers Steve(JennaVee) Woolf and Tony(Darlene) Woolf,
Preceded in death by his son Richy Woolf, parents Bob and Bonnie Woolf and his mother and father in law Norm and Ivy Leonhardt.
Mortuary services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. There will be a viewing at the Paradise LDS Church, 9060 South 200 West on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a short service following. Internment will follow at the Paradise cemetery.
A special thanks to Symbii HomeCare and Hospice and our special angels Melanie Bosworth and our daughter Amy.
We love you Gramps, go rest high upon the mountain.
