Ted Miller Olsen

Our loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Ted M. Olsen, age 55, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home with his family. He was born September 26, 1961 in Logan, Utah, the youngest son of Daniel and LaRay Miller Olsen.
Ted graduated from Sky View High School in 1980. After graduating, he began working at Central Valley Machine where he worked until 2016. He loved his work and took great pride in the company. Ted enjoyed being outdoors in the mountains camping or jeeping. He was an avid drummer and had a passion for rock and roll. He enjoyed going to concerts and saved nearly all of his ticket stubs. He was also a loyal Utah Jazz fan.
Ted had a huge heart and loved everyone that came into his life. No one is more grateful for that love than his two adopted children, Sarah Spillman, and Robert “Bobby” Ted Olsen, and their brother Jeff Anderton, children of his former spouse, Susan L. Anderton, Logan, Utah. He was formerly married to Trixie Hansen, Logan, Utah, and he loved her two daughters, Whitney Allen (Casey) and Laci Estrada (Junior), as his own.
Ted is survived by his children Jeff B. Anderton, Logan, Utah, Sarah Spillman (Danny), Kaysville, Utah, and Robert “Bobby” Ted Olsen, Logan, Utah; by his brothers Paul D. Olsen (Linda) Logan, Utah, Stan M. Olsen (Jeannine) Cedar Hills, Utah, and Mel Olsen (Alice), Young Ward, Utah; two grandsons (Oscar and Walter), and 15 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother Lorin Joseph Olsen, sister Darla Smith (Bill), Father Daniel Jensen Olsen, and nephew Loran Olsen.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the IHC Hospice, especially Nurse Anna, for her support in his final days. In memory of Ted and his love of animals, the family requests that donations be made to 4 Paws Rescue ( www.4paws.petfinder.com ).
There will be a gathering to celebrate Ted’s life at 11am to 12:30pm Friday, May 5, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St., Logan followed by a graveside service at Logan Cemetery.
