Althea Sorensen Reese

August 10, 1940 — October 24, 2017

Logan – Althea S. Reese, 77, passed away October 24, 2017 at the Logan Hospital.
She was born August 10, 1940 in Logan, UT to Fredrick W. Sorensen and Hazel Muir.
Althea loved working with her father on the family farm in Mendon, Utah. She talked fondly of the time she spent with her father and learned a strong work ethic. She graduated from South Cache High School. She attended one year at Utah State University before she married her high school sweetheart Lyle R. Reese on June 19, 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. Lyle and Althea traveled the world together after they retired. Lyle preceded her in death in December 2003.
Althea was a dedicated mother to her children and supported them in all their activities. She loved her family; children and grandchildren; friends and neighbors. She worked as an accountant at various businesses in Logan. Althea and Lyle owned A&L Draperies.
Althea loved and enjoyed her church callings including serving as an ordinance worker at the Logan Temple. She also served missions at the Washington DC temple, and at the LDS administrative buildings in Salt Lake City, UT.
She is survived by daughter Marcile R. Staub of Tulsa, OK and son Craig L. Reese of Idaho Falls, ID. Grandchildren Daniel/Trevor/Christopher Staub; Austin/Zachery/Chancelor/Tyson Reese; Brother F. Keith Sorensen Farmington, Utah and Sister Vicky S. Doolittle Mendon, Utah.

Althea will be greatly missed

A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 2, beginning at noon at the Mt. Logan Stake Center, 565 East 100 South, Logan, with a viewing prior from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
