Bari Jean Baillie Jenkins

May 9, 1943 — August 9, 2022

Bari Jean Baillie Jenkins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma passed away on August 9th, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Logan, Utah. She was the second of two daughters born to Oral and June Baillie.
Bari was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 9th, 1943. Her family later moved and lived in Laramie Wyoming where she graduated from Laramie High School. After graduating she moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University. During high school, Bari met her future husband Gene Jenkins and they were later married on March 28th, 1964 and then later sealed as a family in the Logan, Utah temple.
Bari began her long career as a Dental Assistant where she first started in Laramie, Wyoming then in Logan, Utah for Dr. Keith Archibald. She enjoyed meeting new patients and made many friends during these 24 years. She finished with teaching Dental Assisting at Bridgerland Technical College (Logan and Brigham City Campuses).
Through the years, Bari served in several church callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as Relief Society President and cherished the women who served along with her. She also served as the Stake Calendar Girl for 25 years (record setting). The 25 years is just an estimate because she served in this position for so long that there are no records as to when she first started. She loves her Heavenly Father and enjoyed learning more about the gospel while attending church meetings and going to her weekly institute class.
Mom was proud that she had a motorcycle license for many years. She and dad loved to ride motorcycles with their young family of five (mom with her two sons on one motorcycle and dad with his daughter on another motorcycle). Later, mom and dad traveled and toured several states on their Gold Wing motorcycle with their long-time good friends (all four joined the Golden-Spike Bikers Club). Mom loved to entertain and host parties; Tea Parties, Doll Club, Ladies Club and Study Group. She loved visiting with family, friends and neighbors on her back patio or front porch (always serving you a diet coke). She truly cherished these 50+ year friendships. We will always remember her having fun with family and friends.
Bari is survived by her loving husband H. Gene Jenkins, children Brad Jenkins, Jennifer Jenkins and Randy (Jenn) Jenkins; sister Peggy Justesen; grandchildren Taylor (Kaitlin) Jenkins, Trevor (Natalie) Jenkins, Braeden Jenkins, Preston Jenkins and Taia Jenkins; great-grandchildren Khloe, Hadley, Ruger, Grayson (another great-grandbaby boy on the way). She has several other sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives who are scattered from the west coast to the south coast.
Bari was preceded in death by her parents Oral D. and E. June Baillie; her in-laws Harold and Marie Jenkins, grand-daughter Mandy Jenkins; brother-in-law’s Gordon Kincaid and Bernard Justesen and cherished grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles. Her family is comforted in knowing that she is with her Heavenly Father, parents and relatives who have welcomed her with loving arms.
