Beverly Jean Denison Riedel

Beverly Jean Denison Riedel peacefully passed away surrounded by those who loved and cared for her
on November 25, 2016 at The Gables Assisted Living in North Logan, Utah. She was 88 years old. Bev
was the second child born to Ada Christensen and Winifield Denison on May 13, 1928 in Spooner,
Wisconsin. She had two brothers, Dale and Bob, and one sister, Donna. She attended grade school and
high school in South Dakota and served during the Korean Conflict in the US Navy as a lieutenant at the
Great Lakes Naval Base where she also received training to become a nurse. She earned bachelor and
master degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and was a dedicated nurse,
teacher of nurses, and writer of nurse school curriculum. Her students loved and admired her and she
them. Beverly married Thomas A. Riedel on November 26, 1953 and together they had five children,
Patricia, Kevin, Nancy, Donna, and Scott. She was a devoted wife and mother and member of the
Catholic Church. She also enjoyed music, reading, tennis, and traveling with her husband. Beverly is
preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her son Kevin, her daughter Patricia, and her husband Tom.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Brian) and Donna (Jeff), her son Scott, daughter-in-law Susan,
and son-in-law John, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends who will miss
her very much.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Mendon Stake Center. Funeral directors are Allen- Hall Mortuary. Condolences may be shared online at www.allenmortuaries.net
