Camille Windley

June 2, 1968 — February 20, 2019

Camille (Cami) Windley, daughter of Brent S. Windley and Leona K. Hawks and sister of Todd E. Windley, passed away on February 20, 2019, at Maple Springs of North Logan after a nine-month struggle with brain cancer.
Cami was born June 2, 1968, in Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Logan High School in 1986 and attended Utah State University, Logan, and Mesa College, San Diego Community College District.
Cami received a diploma in Cosmetology/Barbering from New Horizons Beauty College, Logan, in 1989 and earned California Licensure certification from the Board of Cosmetology, Sacramento, California, in 1990.
Cami also earned certificates in the following areas: Comprehensive Medical Assisting, Administrative and Clinical Competencies; UPMA Training and D.O.P.L. Requirements for X-Ray Technical Assistants; Drug Dosages and Calculations; Orthopaedic Trauma – Bioskills; Technical Competence: Computer Literacy, Microsoft Office; Skills Competence, Central Sterilization Processing Technician; BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers; and Cognitive and Skills Evaluation in accordance with Curriculum of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
Cami practiced cosmetology for several years until she began work in the medical field, where she was employed by the Foot and Ankle Institute in Logan, Utah; Cache Valley Specialty Hospital in North Logan, Utah; and Avalon Hills Residential Eating Disorders Program in Paradise, Utah. Her most recent and most enjoyable employment was as a customer service representative with Tire Guru software company in Logan, Utah.
People who knew Camille would say that she was sweet, had an unusual sense of humor, and a quick wit. She also was skilled in different kinds of art; had beautiful writing (had taken classes in calligraphy); created characters using foreign dialects; liked to sew colorful surgical hats; made all kinds of paper beads; drew cartoon characters; and collected all kinds of beautiful things in paper, metal, plastic and fabric.
Cami is survived by her father Brent S. Windley (Jill), mother Leona K. Hawks (Jack Loeffelbein), brother Todd E. Windley (Polly), nephew Matthew and niece Katrina. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and her beloved cats, Elliott, Olivia, and Sophie. She was preceded in death by grandparents May and Vic Beckstead, Jack Horton, and Don G. and Beth Windley.
Cami’s family would like to thank the University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Institute; Intermountain Cancer Center, Logan Regional; Maple Springs of North Logan (Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities), and Intermountain Homecare and Hospice, Logan, especially Anna Trappett and Kelly Potter.
Camille’s memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North. Those wishing to pay respects to the family may do one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon. As Cami wished to be cremated, there will be no viewing. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
