Casey Jay Parkinson

August 21, 1989 — February 26, 2019

Casey Jay Parkinson was born on August 21, 1989 in Logan, Utah, to parents Steven and Lori Parkinson, and was the second of four boys. Casey grew up in Logan where he had a great childhood with many friends. After fulfilling his time here on earth, Casey walked into the loving arms of his Savior on February 26, 2019 at the too-young age of 29. Casey is survived by his parents Steven and Lori, his brothers Drew (Laura), Dallin (Mandee) and Riley (Shalynne), his half-sister Jill (Kenny), and by the two great loves of his life, his soulmate Madison Parkinson and his beautiful daughter Charlotte Remy Parkinson. Casey is preceded in death by his grandmother Charlotte Parkinson.
Growing up, Casey was an avid lover of sports and during his life skied and played football, basketball, soccer and baseball, and even traveled across the country in support of his endeavors. While his three brothers will deny it if asked, Casey was a truly gifted athlete and could often be found playing with and against his brothers, often to his brothers’ chagrin when Casey beat them. Casey also loved to catch a Utah Jazz game or Aggie game with his family and friends.
Early in life, Casey met and later married his high school sweetheart, Madison Dodge, and a few years later welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Charlotte Remy. Anyone who knows Madison and Charlotte will know that Casey won the lottery twice! Casey was utterly dedicated to providing happiness and love to Madison and Charlotte, and that love was constantly shown in his actions. Charlotte could forever be found in Casey’s arms listening to a story or stealing a much-needed hug or kiss. Casey had a unique ability to make anyone smile and laugh, and he was always comfortable being himself around others. Casey’s capacity for showing love and kindness to those around him will be sorely missed by his family.
Recently, Casey earned his real estate license and was in the beginnings of a new and exciting career. Casey always had a natural affinity for learning, and loved working outside and creating things with his hands. Casey was also a voracious reader and loved to recommend his favorite books to his brothers and friends. Casey was fearless in pursuit of his passions and seemed to conquer any task he set his mind to. His never-ending enthusiasm was contagious. His family is looking forward to the day they will see him again and share in his successes.
A funeral service will be held for Casey Monday, March 4, 2019, at Noon at the Hyde Park Stake Center, 535 E. 200 South, Hyde Park, with a viewing prior from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A viewing will also be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 E. 1800 North, North Logan.
A special thank you to everyone that had a positive influence on Casey throughout his life, for the many people who shared remembrances of him, and for those who have offered compassionate service to Casey’s family. You are all loved.
