Christy Ann Pugh went home on the morning of November 9, 2017 from complications related to heart and kidney failure.
Mom was born November 9, 1952 in Kennewick, Washington and lived the majority of her life in the Tri-Cities, Washington area. She was the third of six children born to Gene and Theressa Claybrook. She attended Kennewick High School and graduated in 1971. She attended Columbia Basin College until her marriage. Mom was sealed to her husband in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1973 and there were four children born of this union. They were subsequently divorced in 2000. Mom moved to Wellsville, UT in 2015 to be close to her children.
Mom lived her life for her children and was devoted to them and her grandchildren. Mom enjoyed being around family and the highlight of her life were family events where everyone was present. From the time of the birth of her first child, Mom never worked outside the home but chose to stay at home in order to always be there for her children. She provided childcare for a number of neighbor children and was loved by all. She was a great cook and her potato salad and doughnuts were legendary.
Mom is survived by three children, Amy Houchin (Kyle), Michael Pugh (Tamye), Lisa Pugh and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by four brothers, Stan Claybrook (Vicki), Gary Claybrook (LaRae), Ted Claybrook (JoAnn), Charles Claybrook (Karla) and one sister, Sharon Claybrook and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was preceded in death by her son, Brad James Pugh and her parents, Gene and Theressa Claybrook.
Mom will be missed in this earth life; however, we are comforted in the knowledge that we will see her again and that she is celebrating this life with her parents and her son, Brad.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 49 West 200 South, Wellsville, Utah.
