Devin Scott Seamons

June 17, 1989 — December 23, 2018

.Our sweet Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and friend Devin Scott Seamons, passed away on December 23rd, 2018 in a tragic car accident.
Devin was born June 17th, 1989 in Logan, UT to Morlyn and Tammy Seamons. He grew up in Lewiston, UT and enjoyed a childhood filled with memories of playing outside, working on his grandpa’s mink ranch, outings with cousins, and quality time spent with his three siblings. He also loved spending time with his little niece and nephews.
Devin graduated from Sky View High School in 2007 and went on to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Birmingham, Alabama mission. He loved the South—especially the good people and would constantly talk about his mission and all of the fond memories he had. He was deeply rooted in his testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and showed that in how he treated others. Devin was constantly helping and serving others.
Devin loved to learn and was always finding ways to challenge himself. He knew every fun fact and every current event. He did not however, enjoy learning from a text book. So, graduating from Utah State University with an associate’s degree in General Studies was a huge accomplishment for him. You could always find him listening to the latest rock album of one of this favorite bands, with a rock star in hand, and a huge smile. He enjoyed anything that could go fast—especially his motorcycle. He loved weight lifting and body building and would wake up every single morning at 4:00am to go and lift. A healthy lifestyle was always a big priority for him.
Devin was sealed to the love of his life, Jordin Petersen, on October 12th, 2013 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together, they enjoyed so many happy and wonderful moments. Some of their favorite hobbies included boating, camping, motorcycle rides, watching their favorite tv shows, and overall just spending every minute they could together. Then on December 2nd, 2016 they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Lyla Grace Seamons—a name he picked and was adamant about. For the short time his little family had together, they made many precious and wonderful memories. Devin was hands on and devoted to his girls in every way, shape, and form. He was the ultimate example of loyalty, genuine friendship, hard work, and always having a positive attitude. He worked hard in everything he did and enjoyed 11 years of being employed at Casper’s Ice Cream, where he made some lifelong friendships. He loved his job and all of those he worked with.
Although we miss him dearly, we know we will be reunited with him again someday. The family wishes to thank everyone for the immense generosity, love, and support given through this difficult time.
Devin is survived by his wife, Jordin, and daughter, Lyla. His parents, Morlyn & Tammy Seamons, and his siblings, Madolyn Moore (Christopher), Justin Seamons, and Samantha Robison (Johnathan). As well as his in-laws, Shane and Heather Petersen, Skyler Petersen (Rachel), Lauren Petersen, and Tate Petersen.
In leu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Jordin Seamons, at any Cache Valley Bank locations across the state.
