Providence- Elaine H. Ewing, 79, of Providence, passed away peacefully at the Rocky Mountain Care Center on May 31, 2019, following a short illness.
Born in Mayfield in 1939, she was the daughter of Angus and Olive Hansen. She was the youngest of four children and had two older sisters and a brother that passed in infancy. She graduated from Gunnison Valley High School in 1957 where she held many class offices, played softball, played piano, and trumpet in the band. Elaine attend Snow College and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education.
Elaine lived in Providence for 53 years. She was a proud loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved being with her family. She had a very strong work ethic, always kept up with the newest technology, and was very computer savvy. Elaine worked for Thiokol, Wurlitzers, USU, H&R Block, and was CEO of her home antique ebay shop. She was a student of tax law and financial investments. She made sure we went on many family trips which cultivated great memories along the way.
Elaine will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her four children Jeff (Becky) Ewing of River Heights, Mark (Stephanie) Ewing of Perry, Linda (Douglas) Redd of Virginia, Julie Ewing (Mason Banks) of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren, Robert (Sharrah), Erika (TJ), Steven, Hillori (Jared), Allison (Jason), Olivia, Max (Ashley) and Eric; three great grandchildren, Lily, Daniel, and Maverik. She is also survived by her sisters Betty and Audrey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Ewing.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center, Logan. Friends and family can call from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Friends and family are also invited to attend a graveside service that will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery.
