G. Clark Anderson

March 24, 1936 — June 28, 2018

G. Clark Anderson died on June 28, 2018 in Logan, UT. He was 82.
Clark was born on March 24, 1936 in College Ward, UT to his parents, George
Wesley Anderson and Gweneth Abrams. He was raised in Idaho but also spent
three years at Camp Hunt where his father was a relocation officer at the
Japanese internment camp during WWII. -
After graduating high school in Boise 10, Clark went on to earn a Bachelor's
degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho, and a Masters degree in Social
Work from the University of Utah. He proudly participated in the ROTC program
where he served with distinction as battalion commander.
After honing his skills in social work in California, Idaho, and Texas, Clark spent
the majority of his working years as the Director of the Western Montana Mental
Health Center in Missoula, MT. While in Missoula he also served as the Chairman
of the school board, and twice as an LOS Bishop.
While famous for his fun-loving nature, Clark was less known as a wonderful
humanitarian, selflessly donating hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to
people only known to himself and the Lord.
Clark was married to Nancy Campbell for 39 years and together they raised three
sons. He later was married to Margene Tomlinson for 10 years.
A scratch golfer and gifted semi-pro baseball pitcher, Clark pitched for the
University of Idaho baseball team. More than anything he loved to sing and was a
gifted soloist, even singing for a time with the Ft. Worth Metropolitan Opera.
Clark is survived by his sister, Joi Hess (David), his brother, Dennis (Ann), and
three sons, Scott (Sandra), Kent (DarLee), and Bryce (Betsy). Clark had 13
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private ceremony for Clark will be held on July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen
Mortuary, 420 E. 1800 N., N. Logan. Interment will follow immediately at the N.
