Joan Beth Palmer

Joan B. Palmer, May 1, 1946-July 21, 2018. Born in Logan, Utah to Kenneth and Elizabeth Phippen. She grew up in San Bernardino, California, graduating from Pacific High School. She continued her education at BYU and later graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Joan taught for 20 years in several Logan schools. She was a dedicated educator and earned the honor of Teacher of the Year twice. Joan was an active member of the LDS church and served in several callings. She was married to Amos B. Palmer for 50 years, sealed in the Logan Temple. She is survived by her husband Amos and their three children Michelle (Mark), Scott (Melanie) and Leslie (Brad) along with 11 grandchildren. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Gables North Logan for their care and support. A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, from 6-8 pm on Thursday July 26, 2018. The graveside service will be held at the Logan Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 27th.
