Joseph Clyde "Mouse" Nielsen

HYRUM, UT - Joseph Clyde Nielsen 84 died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 16, 2018 in Logan, UT.
Clyde was born September 9,1934 in Hyrum, UT to Blaine Lloyd and Ruby Cooper
Nielsen. He attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from South Cache High School. On June 4,1953 he married Carole Anderson in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Hyrum, UT. They were blessed with four children, Russell Clyde, Corrine, Bruce Dewey and Paulette who were the joy of his life.
Clyde worked on the family dairy farm prior to being employed by E.A. Miller & Sons working with the cattle and farming their fields. He retired in 1998 after 42 years. Clyde also had a small farm of his own where he raised cows, sheep and chickens. He was also an avid gardener spending many hours attending to his fruit and vegetables. He was the water master for the Blacksmith Fork Irrigation Company for four years. Clyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dad cherished his family most of all. He and mom often hosted holiday parties and family get-togethers at their home. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren where he was the life of the party. His family have many joyous memories of time spent with him whether on his farm with his animals or in the canyon on a picnic by the river.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Ruby Nielsen, three brothers, Douglas Lee, Dewayne, and Darwin, sister, Valarie and grandson, Chance Bronson Anhder. He is survived by his wife, Carole, his four children, Russell Clyde (Yvette) Logan, Corrine (Clair) Mendelkow, River Heights, Bruce Dewey (Connie), Owasso, OK and Paulette (Lynn) Anhder, Hyrum, 17 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. One brother, Terry (Kimberly),
Hyrum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 a.m. on Friday, September 21,2018 in the Hyrum 13th Ward Chapel, 95 N 675 W, Hyrum. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and prior to services at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
