Karol Kotter Cook

Karol Kotter Cook, 68, was rescued from an aggressive battle with Malignant Melanoma Cancer on January 29, 2019. Family and friends were ever vigilant contributing to her support and every need.

On January 2, 1951, Karol became the third of eventually four children born to Robert LaMar and Norma Neilson. She spent her early years in Reno Nevada and then moved with her family to Bountiful Utah where she attended and graduated from Viewmont High School. She attended Brigham Young University securing a position to teach at Springville High School a month prior to her receiving her B.S. degree in Health and P.E.

She married W. Bryce Cook on February 1st 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are raising six wonderful children Rachelle (Cody Jones), Gregory Bryce (Kimberly Johnson), Bryan David (Camille Call), Rebekah (Bennett Oberg), Clayton Kotter (Kallee Kennington), and Kjersty (Chris Driessen). Karol has 21 grandchildren with two more on the way, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

Karol is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has enjoyed serving in the Young Women’s Program, Relief Society and especially in the Primary. She served in three missions of the church: Logan Utah, DRC Kinshasa Congo and the Paris Temple Mission.

She enjoys sewing, knitting, crocheting, genealogy, music, cooking, swimming and teaching all of the above to her children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. Her friendly and magnetic personality has attracted friends from all around the world; she is courageously independent and connected with people from all walks of life. She has great faith, is an ardent believer and modeled well the kindness and love taught by Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in passing by her parents and by her brother Arthur Fred Kotter, sister-in-law Faye Kotter, and nephew Michael Wayne Kotter. She is also survived by a brother Wayne LaMar Kotter and a Sister LuAnn McCleery.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, beginning at 12:00 PM at the Red Brick meeting house located at 180 South 485 West in Providence. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple Fund.
