Kayrene Leonard

November 29, 1962 — December 18, 2018

Kayrene Leonard age 56 peacefully passed away Monday the 18th of December 2018. She was born November 29th 1962 in price Utah to Paul "Jack" and Violet (Peacock) Leonard. She graduated from Carbon county high school in 1980. Continuing her education she attended Utah State University pursuing a passion for dance with cheerleading, phi dels and anything that brought out her boogy side of life. After college her journey as a mother began in Logan Utah giving birth to her first son Tyson in 1986, Clayton in 1988 and Trent in 1990. Her home was always filled with excitement. Especially after opening her own dance studio sharing her enthusiasm for dance in the basement for all ages of children. It was a home for happy feet.
In 1993 her dream home was built in Riverdale on the outskirts of Preston Idaho. Her Dance career didn’t stop here. She was hired on with the Preston High School staff, instructing both the Phi Del dance team, choreographing award winning numbers, as well as The Cheerleading Squad which also won multiple awards, that had struggled to succeed in championship wins, until her hard work and devotion played a part in their lives. On top of it all, raising her children without skipping a beat.
In 2010, with her children grown, Kayrene left her cherished home as well as her amazing friends of Riverdale and Preston to dedicate her time and energy as a full time Caretaker for her Father Jack, Mother Violet and Brother Dennie in St George Utah. Kayrene found a hobby of spoiling these three amazing individuals. Giving manicures and pedicures monthly, preparing meals, movie nights, and holding their hands in their last moments.
After the passing of her Parents and Brother, Kayrene found her calling in the medical field to care for others. She Attended Steven Henager College, graduating with the Highest Honors on the Deans List and The Presidents List with her Degree in Medical Assisting. Even outside the office she was always looking for people in need. Always giving. Never asking for anything in return.
