Keith Jensen

April 14, 1923 — April 24, 2018

Keith Jensen, 95, of Logan, died the evening of Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at his home in St. George, Utah.
Keith was born April 14, 1923, in Logan, Utah, a son of Harold Gill and Elva Jensen.  He married Vellys Bradley in the Logan LDS Temple on December 4, 1942.  From their union, three sons were born: Mark Keith Jensen, Paul Douglas Jensen, and Robert Clair Jensen.
Keith provided for his family by working at Sears Roebuck & Company, when it was situated in the Logan City Library building.  After working at Sears, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1983.
Following his retirement, Keith worked part-time for Jack’s Tire and Oil and later worked part-time at Horlacher’s Meats.  Keith and Vellys loved to travel, and their lives were enriched by their various travel experiences.
Keith was active in the LDS church and served in various Ward and Stake positions.  He was also diligent in keeping a journal of his family history, a record that his family cherishes with fond memories of the past.  Keith had a gentle disposition and was a man of high integrity and noble personal values.
His wife, Vellys, died in late 2009, and he later married Jacqueline Beck.  They lived in Logan for a short period of time, and then moved to St. George, where Keith loved playing golf. He is survived by a sister, Jean (Don) Wall; his three children and their spouses: Mark and Pat (Raymond ) Jensen, Paul and Tammy (Howard) Jensen, and Robert and Barbara (Perham) Jensen; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Keith is also survived by his wife, Jacqueline, two step children; four step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.  He embodied what a grandpa is and should be—adoring all his grandchildren. A special thanks is extended to Ashley at Dixie Home Rehab and Hospice for her professional, compassionate care.
A viewing will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Allen Mortuary in North Logan, 420 East 1800 North.   A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Logan City Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.com
