Our husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home on May 26. 2018, with his wife and angel daughter Holly by his side.
Ken was born April 22, 1944 in Price Utah to Franklin and Georgia Charlesworth Cox. He was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Carbon High School and served an LDS mission in Paris, France. He graduated from BYU in Accounting and Business Management in 1968.
After graduating from BYU he took his first accounting job with a regional CPA firm in Los Angeles. From there he took a position with Ernst and Ernst, an international law firm in Hawaii. He returned to Utah in 1972.
He met his sweetheart Carla in Tooele, Utah and they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised five children.
Ken and Carla then moved to CA where he was a controller to Central Coast Farm and Ranch Co. With this firm he later moved to Amarillo, TX to the be the head of the accounting office. They returned to Utah in 1981, settling in Logan. He later took a job as a contractor for the US State Department where he traveled to Africa teaching Ag Accounting and Management to the locals. He later returned to Utah where he worked for Weslo (Icon).
His whole life he had a great love for horses and was a cowboy at heart. His favorite saying was, "There's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse."
