Laura Fonnesbeck Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Laura Fonnesbeck, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning May 16th in Logan, Utah. She was born February 20th, 1932 in Logan, Utah to William Edwin Pehrson & Laura Alvina McAlister Pehrson. She was the youngest of four children; LuDean, Myrtle & Edwin. Laura attended Logan High School where she met the love of her life and shortly married after, Dale Willis Fonnesbeck on September 17th, 1949. They had 7 children; Daughter, Dawayne, Dan, Shelly, John, Jay & Ed Fonnesbeck. Laura was such a special woman who loved to cook, get her hair done and travel. She spent her younger years cooking for the forest service, in Alaska, LD’s Café in Richmond, Utah, the many hunting camps all over the west and just about anywhere with a stove. When she wasn’t cooking, you could find her at the beauty school getting her hair done so she could always look her best when traveling to see family members in her spare time. She was just so much fun to be around and always made sure you knew that she loved you by giving you the biggest hug and kiss on the cheek. She survived by her children Dawayne (Las Vegas), Shelley (Las Vegas), Dan (Sue-Millville, Utah), John (Missy-Brigham City, UT) & Ed Fonnesbeck (Bambie-Mackay, ID). Also 8 grandchildren; Casey, Brandon, Alissa, Sage, Carry, Travis, Doug & Eric, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, stillborn daughter, Son-Jay Fonnesbeck, Grandson- Colby Fonnesbeck, and great grandson Kemper Travis Fonnesbeck. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 24th at 11am at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah 84321. A viewing will be held Tuesday May 24th from 9:30am-10:30am.
