Lee G. Johnson

December 6, 1935 — April 28, 2018

Lee Johnson, 82, peacefully traveled to the other side of the veil on April 28, 2018, after a mercifully short three-week illness from cancer. He left in the arms of his dear, wife, Karen, along with his sweet little poodle, Candy, by his side. Lee's passing was a surprise to many who knew of his zest for life
and getting things done.
He was born December 6, 1935 in Preston, Idaho to George Joseph and Eldora Gailey, and grew up graduating from Preston High School. He had twelve brothers and sisters. All but Nora Tigum of Driggs, ID preceded him in death. Lee was the father of four children who loved to be outdoors with their Dad and often went with him on work calls.
Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. He attended Cogne Electrical School in New York City for one year. He served in the army for two years, and then went to work for Idaho Appliance.

Lee then moved to Logan and worked for Homer Lloyd at Logan Refrigeration Company for eleven years, after which time he purchased and continued running the business until his passing. His business built and manufactured "The Logan Freeze-Thaw Machine," which they shipped worldwide. Lee was scheduled for more shipments this summer. His son, Brent, plans to continue running the business. Lee also worked as an engineer for the Logan temple for twelve years.

When Lee passed on, he and Karen had just returned from Arizona where they typically spent their winters in their big RV. This last winter they had a lot of fun spending time with old and new friends. If it wasn't for the hot summers and his local job, Lee might have been inclined to stay in his beloved Southwest. During their early years of marriage, they traveled to Mexico and went on A TV countryside tours. Lee liked to drive, and Karen liked to hang on. For the last twenty or so years, Lee also loved Steelhead Trout fishing every October on the Salmon River with the gang.
Lee is survived by his wife, Karen, and his children, Vickie (Glenn) Farrall, Bristol, United Kingdom; Roy Johnson, Malad, ID; Brent (Carie) Johnson, Bear River City, UT; and Jeff (Jenny) Johnson, Farmington, UT; and three step-children, Craig Jensen, Pocatello, ID; Keith (Sharon) Jensen, West Valley, UT; and Teresa Jensen, North Logan, UT. They have 23 grandchildren and 20 great-
grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the Allan-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, UT, and Monday, May 7, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:45AM at the Mount Logan Stake Center, 565 E Center Street, Logan, UT. His funeral will be at noon in the Mount Logan Stake
Center. Interment will be in the Beaver Dam, UT Cemetery.
