Lila Bernice Jenkins Dopp

December 1, 1928 — February 17, 2018

Lila Bernice Jenkins Dopp, 89, Passed away peacefully with family by her side in Naples FL, on February 17th 2018. She was born December 1, 1928 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Adelbert Thomas Smithhurst Jenkins and Nellie Weaver McMinn. Lila was the third of eight children.

Lila met and married Gareth Dopp soon after WWII. Together they operated a mortuary in El Centro, Ca. Before settling in Corona Ca., the family lived in their favorite home in South Pasadena. She was a faithful and active member of The LDS Church where she served in many callings, such as Relief Society President. She graduated nursing school on June 5, 1981 the same day her grandson Kevin was born. At that time the family lived in Logan UT. She cared for many in her profession as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange Ca. After retiring as an RN, Lila most enjoyed her career as a Financial Advisor at Primerica for three decades.

Lila was an extremely loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She knew all of her grandchildren very well. At one point time she lived with all. She had an amazing sense of humor and always genuinely laughed at all of her family’s jokes. She had an extreme amount of patients and taught her loved ones all that she knew.

Survivors include her loving brothers, David Jenkins, Dennis Jenkins and Fred Jenkins; her children, Denise Stolte, Bryan Dopp, Cleeve Dopp, Tauna Dopp, Tami Cline, Tori & Alan Crummack; her grandchildren, Jeremy Stolte, Stephanie Eccles, Ben Stolte, Gabe, Haley and Ella Cagle, Ryan and Colby Dopp. Nicole & Allen Haden, Julie, Tad and Kevin Dopp. Drew Spinos and Talia Clum. Brandon & Chelsea O’Conner, Tara & Jacob Mauritho, Cody and Katie Cline. Sabrina and Vanessa Crummack; her great-grandchildren, Brendan, Kayla, Emelie, Chase, Brom, Logan, Mackenna Blake, Jacob, Ryan, Nathan, Austin, Chloe, Sammi Jo, Chase, Gareth, Jack, Aliya, Hunter, Eli, Miles, and Talia’s Baby.

Services will be held at:
Allen-Hall Funeral Home, 34 East Center Street, Logan UT. 84321

Viewing from 11:30 to 12:30

Service 1:00pm

Will be interred at Logan Cemetery.
