Lois Schiffman Skabelund

Our wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Lois Schiffman Skabelund passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 12th, 2016.

Lois was born on May 17th 1925 in Mendon, Utah to Albert C and MaryAnn Bird Schiffman. Mother spent her entire life in Cache Valley. She worked before marriage in the fields picking fruits of all kinds and digging potatoes and beets. Mother enjoyed old western movies and country music.

She married Wayne Skabelund on February 16th, 1949 in Preston Idaho, they were married for 55 years before his passing August 6th,2004. Mother devoted her life as homemaker and mother she raised 7 children to adulthood she also raised a granddaughter.

Mother is survived by five children ,daughter Kyrelynn Eldridge of Oregon, Sons, Brent Albert (Janae), James W, Martin Wayne ( Shelley), and Vernon Howard (Linda) all of Logan. Also 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Merlin (Marilyn) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and a sister Mary Parker of Millville.

Mother was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, two sons Dee Wayne and John, two daughters Connie Sue and Kathy Lois Olsen. Also four sisters Della Denning, Elda Quinn, Verda Gittens and Rose Marie Monson.

We would like to thank all care givers to our mother especially her son Jimmy for his many years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and prior to the services on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
