Lola Coburn Thalman

On January 27, 2020 Lola Coburn Thalman reunited with her twin sister (Lila Anderson), her mother and father (Lorin and Eva Coburn), three sons (Richard, Ronald, and Steven), in-laws (Robert and Mary Thalman), and many other loved ones. She has longed for this for what seems like an eternity and we all wish we could have been there to see that glorious reunion. She is singing with the angels. Many tears of joy and sorrow have been shed. She will be greatly missed.
She lived in Young Ward most of her life with her siblings, Lila(deceased)(Neil)Anderson, Carol(Terry) Thompson, Dale/Butch Coburn(Shawna div.), Ruth(Jeff)Adams.
She met the love of her life as a toddler and married that same sweet boy next door, Richard Deloy Thalman, in the Logan Temple on April 19, 1957. She went on to have 9 children in 14 years. Richard Lynn Thalman (deceased), Ronald Lorin Thalman (deceased), Beverly (Bob) Wiser, Steven Ray Thalman (deceased)(Misty Miller)(Dixie Bankhead, div.), Suzanne (Peter) Cooper, Wayne Thalman(Jolene). Christine (Steve) Speth, Timothy (Connie) Thalman, Jennifer (Mike) Pitcher. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren and almost 33 great grandchildren.
While raising her family and through many trials and tribulations she remained faithful in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, using her many gifts and talent to serve in the church and community.
She was a cheerleader at South Cache High School and loved to dance. She loved the outdoors, sports, and spent multiple years in the athletic programs; playing, coaching, umpiring, refereeing, organizing, stopping fights and teaching. She served for years as the stake men and women athletic director.
She worked as a nurse aid at Logan LDS Hospital on the grave yard shift for many years.
With all her extra time between caring for her family, helping her mom and dad on the farm doing chores, and countless hours of service, she taught herself to play many musical instruments, guitar was her favorite. It was not unusual to find her with her love of music singing, playing, crying and holding on to the songs of her past and learning new songs that touched her heart.
You always knew where you stood with Lola; no monkeying around. It’s hard to not admire her and her ability to endure to the end. She taught us all that we can do hard things. To know her is to love her. She loved and remembered everyone by name and the lives she touched were insurmountable. We love you Lola!
Celebrate the life of Lola Coburn Thalman at a viewing Monday February 10th at the Allan-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah from 6 pm to 8 pm, and on Tuesday, Feb. 10th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am prior to the Funeral services at the College/Young Ward Chapel 2394 W. 2200 S. at 12 noon. A graveside service will take place at the Mendon Cemetery shortly after the funeral.
