Luann Traveller Tripp

LuAnn Traveller Tripp passed away Sunday June 9, 2019 in Logan, UT at the age of 86 after a courageous 50 year battle with MS, surrounded by her family.
LuAnn was born to Ariel Cornelius Traveller and Mardene Harris on March 16, 1933 in Richmond, UT. She graduated from North Cache High School and attended Utah State Agricultural College (USU). LuAnn began dating Robert Dell Tripp after he returned home from the Korean War. After their courtship they were married on September 18, 1953 in the Logan Temple. Dell’s Military Service took them to Fort Richardson, AK. and Fort Ord, CA. In 1969 they returned to Richmond, UT., where Dell and LuAnn both enjoyed working at Logan High School until she retired as the Financial Secretary in 1991. LuAnn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held many leadership positions. She was a woman of faith and charity. She was involved in many civic organizations, including the PTA, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Good Sam’s and the Richmond Veteran’s Memorial committee.
LuAnn enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, travelling and getting together with family and friends. One of her greatest gifts was that of being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to all, never complained and she endured to the end with grace and dignity.
She is survived by her children Robert LeuDell (Marie) Tripp, Tucson, AZ, Ernest Rand (Lillian) Tripp, Richmond, UT, Valerie (Jeff) Nelson, Evanston, WY, Pam (Brad) Kidd, Springville, UT.,16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, her siblings Nancy Hillyard, Kay (Jana) Traveller, Bart Traveller, Seth (Gaylene) Traveller, Kenneth (Jeanie) Traveller, her sisters-in-law Geri Traveller, Gloria Green and brother-in-law Lynn (Mary) Tripp.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a granddaughter Melissa Nelson, a brother, Marvin Traveller, brothers-in-law, Morris Hillyard and Robert Green, sisters-in-laws, Jenis Traveller and Charlene Traveller.
The family would like to thank all the many caregivers at Sunshine Terrace that watched over our mom during the past 8 years and those friends that stopped by to visit.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary and will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Stake Center, 135 W Main St., the viewing will be precede the funeral services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. There will also be a viewing Friday evening June 21, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the Richmond City Cemetery.
