Marilyn Miller

December 19, 1956 — September 4, 2017

Marilyn Miller of Logan, Utah passed away September 4, 2017, due to complications following surgery. She was born December 19, 1956, in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Although her passing was a surprise to her as well as her family, there are a few things we know she would want to share.

Marilyn was dedicated to every role she was born to play. Daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She excelled at them all. She would want you to know, whatever role you were born to play, give it your all.

Although she suffered from more than her share of disappointments and heartbreak, she never gave up and never gave in. She would want you to be brave and strong, no matter what life throws at you.

Marilyn loved using her hands to create gifts for others. Whether it be quilting, crocheting, gardening, or painting. She always had a project going to give to a loved one. Remember you are born with two hands, use them in service and help all you can.

She had a great sense of humor, mostly inappropriate. She would want you to laugh and find humor in any situation, even when you probably shouldn’t.

She was born strong-willed and stayed strong-willed throughout her life. She would say, stand your ground and never give in, even when you feel the world is against you.

But of all her amazing accomplishments, she was most proud of her children. She called them every day to tell them she loved them, to ask how she could help them, and to show them what unconditional love and devotion looks like. She would ask you to call your loved ones today, and tomorrow, and every day there after. As her children, we were extremely lucky. She left nothing unsaid, and nothing to regret. She lived every day like it was her last and when that day finally came, she could rest easy, knowing she left the world a brighter place by having her in it.

She is survived by her Mother, Elizabeth Miller, daughters Christa (Brian) McDearmon, and Elizabeth (Justin) Thomas and her son Jesse Peterson. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Miller; and her daughter, Jamie Lynn Jorgensen.
