Our Beautiful Mom, Grandma, Sister and Friend, Marilyn L. Miller, will long be remembered for the abundant Joy , Happiness, and Laughter she brought into this world. She will be remembered with fondness long after her passing by those whose lives she touched. She graciously ascended to Heaven on July 31, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born in Logan, Utah on January 29, 1938 to her parents, William Leroy Leatham and Ferris Anderson Leatham. Her growing up years were spent in her treasured hometown of Wellsville, Utah. She was joined by two siblings, Roy & Karen. Her fond memories and favorite stories of childhood years were shared many times with family, always with excitement in her voice and a smile on her face as she shared the beautiful memories of her past.

In her high school days, Marilyn had the honor of being Prom Queen, Varsity Cheerleader, and was involved in many musical productions. Her spark for life showed in everything she did as she loved to sing and play the piano and was fully involved in music throughout her life. She shared her musical talents with so many others until her later years.

After graduating, Marilyn married her High school Sweetheart, Larry W. Miller. They settled in Hyrum, Utah and together raised a family of five children, operated several business’ and a dry farm for many years together. Marilyn was an amazing gardener and spent most of her summers outside in her astounding gardens, enjoying nature and creating a little heaven on earth in her yard. With mother nature at her side she never had a bad day in Her Garden.

Mom was a pillar of strength and truth throughout her life, always living by example. Her faith, testimony, and love of God were so powerful. She always held true to these principles, no matter her circumstances. Her family was always her priority every day of her life. Her Sunday Dinners and Christmas Parties were always favorites to everyone.

During her lifetime, she held many church callings and excelled in all of them. She was a very dedicated servant and always went above and beyond what was expected of her, with style and grace.

Marilyn honored her heritage and was deeply involved with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for many years, and she enjoyed sharing with her family the histories of those gone before and their sacrifices, which she never took for granted.

After raising her children, Marilyn attended Weber State College studying Interior Design. After completing her education, she went on to own very successful interior design business for several years. She also became an excellent artist. Her exceptional oil paintings are enjoyed by many family members in their homes and are a continued reminder of her gifts and talents she so willingly shared.
