Michael "Day" Potter

June 2, 1972 - January 8, 2022

Day Potter born and raised in Boise, Idaho by his parents Keith Day Potter and Kathleen Darrington Potter. Day returned to his Heavenly Home to celebrate his father Keith's birthday in person. Resident of Logan, Utah for over 14 years, Day had experienced and miraculously survived many significant health issues. He had been residing at Rocky Mountain Care Center since April 2021 and looking forward to soon returning to his family home. Through medical care and therapy Day's health was better than it had been in years. He was successfully achieving his medical goals. Monday, January 3rd he tested positive for covid. With medication and treatment he was in good condition. Friday night he was doing well. In the early morning of Saturday the 8th he passed away in his sleep. Day lives in the loving memory of his family. His wife Stephanie Marie Wilson Potter, and his children Johnathan Dayvid Michael Potter and wife Whitney Hansen Potter, Chance K. A. Potter, Alexander Charles Potter, Sophia Day Potter. His mother, Kathleen Darrington Potter and his siblings and their spouses Dawn & Jared Brimhall AZ, Jeryl & Derin Dildine ID, Sasha Potter ID, Jason Potter AZ, Sage & Ashley Potter ID, Cherish & Chris Torrel ID. Day was creative and intelligent, and an avid reader with a great sense of humor, and the family computer genius. As a musician his passion was the oboe, and was a member of the BSU Blue Thunder marching band. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New York, New York and New York South missions 1991-1993. The funeral will be held Saturday, January 15th at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 1800 N 420 E, North Logan, Utah. 11:30-12:30 Viewing 1:00 Funeral 2:30 Private Grave Dedication The family would like to reach out to those who knew him and request you share memories of him to help his children get to know him as a person, beyond and before he became 'Sick Dad'. We get immunized and wear masks to protect those we love, and the strangers who also love.
