Myrtle Mae Fonnesbeck Clark

July 13, 1922 — December 13, 2018

Myrtle Mae Fonnesbeck Clark passed away December 13, 2018 at age 96. She was born on July 13, 1922 in College Ward to Edward and Ida Wyatt Olsen. She grew up working hard on the family farm.

She married Reed L. Fonnesbeck on March 3, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah. They raised four children. He passed away on March 19, 1998. She married Samuel Clark on February 3, 2001. He died January 5, 2016.

Myrt was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She worked many years at U & I Furniture in Logan. She was known for her handiwork, embroidery and crocheting, and her lemon meringue and banana cream pies. She loved the Utah Jazz and was very proud of her opportunity to meet and be photographed with Karl Malone. She faithfully watched the Jazz games until the end of her life. Other favorite pass times were shopping at DI, playing the slots in Wendover, and going to family reunions and events.

She is survived by three children: Joan (Chuck) Preston of Island Park, Douglas R. (Trissa) Fonnesbeck of Farmington, and Jerry E. (Vicky) of Logan; also by 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tamara Hamilton Fuhriman, her parents, her husbands, four sisters, three brothers and a few great-grand children.

She will be missed by family and close friends at Williamsburg Assisted Living where she has resided the past few years.

A viewing will be held Tuesday December 20 from 6 to 8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan. Another viewing/reception will take place on Wednesday, December 19 at the mortuary from 11 am til noon, when a brief memorial/tribute service will take place prior to interment in the Logan City Cemetery.

Thanks to the staff at Williamsburg and PrimRose for their compassion and considerate care and her personal aid and friend Tara. Special gratitude goes to her daughter-in-law, Vicky and her grandson, Robert for extending themselves in amazing ways to provide her with comfort and care, and many other things these past few years.
