Ruth Ann Ford Hymas

December 27, 1947 — September 22, 2022

Ruth Ann Ford Hymas passed unexpectedly from this life on September 22, 2022. She is now free of pain and happily reunited with her loved ones that preceded her in death.

Ruth was and is dearly loved by many people in the community. She was a manager at Lee's Market Place in Smithfield. She loved her job and didn’t want to quit even even with declining health because it gave her the opportunity to meet and talk to so many interesting people, which brought her a tremendous amount of joy. Ruth was kind, caring, and loving. She made friends everywhere she went and made sure everyone that came in contact with her felt loved and important to her.
Nothing was more important to Ruth than her family. Her family was her pride and joy.

Ruth was born in Fresno California on December 27, 1947 to her parents Richard Lloyd Ford and Buena Miriam Kinder. She was predeceased by her parents Richard Ford and Buena Porter and by her son Jonathon (Jonny) Hymas. Ruth was also predeceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Lloyd Ford and is survived by her husband Terry Hymas, her remaining children, and her sister’s Lanta Ford Rasmaussen and Cristle Franke

Ruth married her husband Terry Hymas on May 23, 1968. They spent the rest of their lives together in Liberty, Idaho and Logan, Utah where together they had and raised eight children whom they loved with all their hearts. Her children and their spouses are (or were) as follows: Nathan Hymas (Ronette), Athena Stovall (Davis), Jonny Hymas (Jenn), Anna Merrill (Naitt), Sarah Pett (John), Laura Holste (Andy), Buffy Rose (Gerad), and Jennie Hymas.

Nothing made Ruth happier than her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If asked, many of them would still say “their favorite childhood memories were spent at Grandma Ruth’s house… because she made everything seem magical”.

Their names are as follows:
Grandchildren:
Dartanyon (Dart),
Precious, Eternity, Dyani, and Mirakel. JoJo (Jaden), Kit (Jake) and Scout. Kenyon and Willow. Elric, Alanna, *Michael, *Eric and *Kennedy. *Hogan and Will. Alex, *Jalen and *Jayce.

Great Grandchildren:
Marshall, Ruby *Annabelle and *Dylan. Blakely and baby girl coming.

A family that pulls together to love and support one another through even the darkest of times, and in spite of all differences and difficulties will remain her greatest legacy. She will be missed.

All who knew and loved her are invited to join her family at a graveside ceremony to be held in her honor at 11:00am on September 30th at Logan Cemetery located at 1000 N. 1200 E in Logan. Following this ceremony all are invited to join in sharing memories and stories at a celebration of life gathering at 12:00 in the 9th ward church house building at 125 E. 500 N.
