Seles Porter Price

ROY, UTAH: Seles Porter Price died October 8, 2018 from complications of cancer at home with her family by her side.

She was born April 3rd 1941, the daughter of George Riley Porter and Laverna Carter Wanner Porter, the twelfth of fifteen children. She grew up on the family farm, in Cub River, Idaho where she learned the principles of honesty and hard work from her father, mother, brothers and sisters. These well learned principles would be a highlight throughout her entire life.

She went to Preston High School. She enjoyed camping, fishing and taking trips around the country and went with her husband on Business trips. Taking in the sites like Disney Land, Disney World and Church sites in Kansas,Missouri, Illinois, New York and New Hampshire. She also seen her Dodgers play and the Padres, Mariners and the Royals She enjoyed her children.
She enjoyed playing commercial softball for Lewiston in a women's league traveling around Utah and Idaho.
She enjoyed playing drums in the High School Band and marching in parades.
She loved coaching her kids in baseball and in softball.

Seles met and married Franklin Vere Bingham Price, September 18th 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. This marriage was blessed with seven children, three boys and four girls.

Seles was very proud of her seven children and invested all of her time and energy in helping them learn life's valuable lessons. She was always a great example and full of energy. However, the most valuable thing she taught was faith in God, love of family, and serving others. One could never escape the opportunity of great food and a good night’s sleep if you were ever in need.

She lived in Cub River, Idaho; Logan, Utah; Seattle Washington and Roy,Utah where she met many wonderful friends.. She was an active member of the LDS Church she enjoyed her church assignments

Seles is survived by her husband Frank and by three sisters and a brother; her seven children; Duane Franklin Price of Midvale, Utah; Kimberly Bethards, Brigham City, Utah; Stacey Lynn Price (Brian) Marchant of Sunset, Utah; Stuart Temp Price, Roy, Utah; Tiffany Seles Price (Michael) Douglas, Roy, Utah; Kerry Allen(Robin) Price, Ogden, Utah; Taunya Michele Price (Dustyn) Thorpe, West Haven, Utah; and 14 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Liza Price, a daughter-in-law, Edith Price, and a son-in-law, Steven Bethards.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Roy 18th ward church house at 5725 So 3750 West, Roy, Utah. On Sunday the 14th friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Roy 18th Ward and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. on October 15th at the church.

Interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery at 3:00 P.M.
