Thomas Douglas Eames

February 17, 1962 — December 25, 2018

Heaven gained a special angel as Tom Eames was called home on Christmas day 2018. His trials are over and we could not be more proud of the valiant way he fought beginning with Type 1 Diabetes when he was five years old.
He never lost his sense of humor or the chance to play a prank on someone. Complaining was not his style, even when giving up his much loved Tab and peanuts when he went on dialysis.
Tom was born February 17, 1962, the first born son of Douglas and Edna Eames. He attended Logan City schools and graduated from Logan High in 1980.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tom married Karla Archibald on September 7, 1984. They have three sons.
Tom was employed for 36 years as a crew chief for the Logan City Water Department where he worked hard, played pranks, and gained life-long friends.
He had a positive, outgoing disposition and a quick wit. His greatest joy was his family and spending time with them, especially camping at their property near Hardware Ranch. He loved the great outdoors. There were many hunting escapades with his sons and fishing with his dad. At home he had his chickens and dog to keep him company when he wasn't visiting Angie’s.
He is survived by his wife, Karla; his sons, Andy (Kiley), Benji (Megan), and Nick (Hal); his parents, father-in-law, Garth Archibald, and his beloved grandchildren, McKinley and Baylor.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Timothy and Anthony, his grandparents, Joe and Charlotte Madsen and Alton and Ardella Eames, and his mother-in-law, JoAnn Archibald.
Heartfelt thanks to family, friends, neighbors and medical providers who have offered their love and support throughout Tom’s illness.
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Viewings will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm, and Monday December 31, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the Millville City Cemetery.
