Ty Thomas Hall

September 5, 1995 — September 4, 2017

Sept. 4, 2017, we lost the strongest man we have ever known. Ty Thomas Hall passed away from injuries received in an accident near his grandparent’s home in Wellsville. Ty was on his way to celebrate his family and the traditions that meant so much to him.
Ty was born Sept. 5, 1995, to Holli Hamilton Hall and Tom Hall. From the time he was born he never wanted to be the center of attention. He was always the first to listen and the last to speak. If you chose to listen close, chances were you would hear something deeply profound or funny. He had a fun sense of humor that was always uplifting.
Ty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had an exceptional spirit. He was wise beyond his years. His seriousness, passion and focus on the most important things in life were present from the minute he was born. His eyes were windows into Heaven. Throughout his life he taught by example of the precious spiritual lessons of our Heavenly Parents, Savior and the plan of salvation.
Ty was a great example of selflessness to all of us who were lucky enough to know him. He was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet who gave service freely. Friends and family could count on him to help at a moments notice and he was so thoughtful and observant. Often he thought of how to serve and had the task done without even being asked.
Ty had a strong love for his little brother and best friend, Bryar. They played together, hunted together and worked together. It was rare when they were not together.
Ty’s little sister, Niki, joined the family in 2012. From the time of her birth she had the brothers wrapped around her little finger. Ty was never too busy to snuggle with her or watch her sing and dance.
Ty’s soft spot was for his family and friends. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved, made time for them, and made them feel like they were the most special person in his life. Ty loved his grandparents, aunts, uncles and little cousins more than we will probably ever know.
Ty excelled athletically and had a passion and natural talent for baseball. He knew the game and he loved it. He spent countless hours in his youth being mentored by great coaches and making lifelong friendships with teammates he played ball with throughout high school.
Ty also loved fishing and hunting. He was skilled far beyond his years. He loved being outdoors, hiking, looking for sheds, and preparing for the next hunting season. He valued this time because he was able to spend it with his dad, brother Bryar and Grandpa Hall. When making the decision to go off to college and play baseball versus stay home with his family and hunt, it was an easy decision for Ty.
Ty’s work ethic was second to none. He loved his crew at Geneva Rock. The only thing that made it better was being able to work with Bryar this past summer. It’s hard to understand how Ty found more time in his days, but he did. He attended Utah State University and at the time of his death had planned to attend Weber State University seeking a degree in construction management.
Ty is proceeded in death by his great-grandparents Thomas Maughan Hall, Verda Poppleton Hall, Howard Boyd Peterson, Olive Peterson, George Austin Hunter, Bonnie England Hunter, Richard Hamilton, Lloyd Featherstone and Florence Featherstone.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Holli Hall; brother Bryar;, sister Nikqel; grandparents Dee and Tana Hall, Dixon and Marlene Hamilton, Mark B. Featherstone; great-grandma Elna Hamilton; aunts and uncles Devan and Deeana Hawkes, Russell and Kristee Robbins, Shane and Rachel Hamilton, Colter and Emma Hamilton, Riley and Alex Hamilton; cousins Addison Sinclair, Ryker Robbins, Kate Robbins, Sawyer Robbins, Lydia Hamilton, Clayton Hamilton, Cooper Hamilton, Cache Hamilton, Harper Hamilton, Reva Hamilton, Hurley Hamilton, Kassidy Hamilton, Stetson Rindlisbacher, and a new boy cousin on the way. Countless extended family and dear friends will miss Ty as well.
Ty leaves behind a lasting legacy for all, “You’ll never forget a kind word.” Be better. Do more. Try harder. We love you, Bud, and cannot wait for the day we get to hear your jokes and feel your strong presence standing next to us. This separation will be just a short time, and your family will work hard to make you proud. Families are forever.
We appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and service of our family, friends and neighbors as we have felt great comfort and strength at this difficult time.
A viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hyrum LDS 1st Ward church, 95 N. 675 West, Hyrum.
